2008 TEN YEAR CONSTRUCTION PLAN

To better manage projects and project funding the Highway Department maintains a Ten Year Construction Plan template. While projections ten years into the future are not precise, they are very useful as a compass, keeping the county headed in the right direction and, at times, demonstrating that the commitment to a new project now may well adversely affect funding for an existing project scheduled for future development.

For a variety of reasons, such as funding, the unforeseen insertion of new projects, etc., the template is continually being revised and thus may not be taken on face as completely accurate. However, the template, as presented to county officials at the 2008 County Retreat, is being published to provide you with a thumbnail view of the projected construction needs for Elkhart County.
