The mission of the Elkhart County Highway Department is to provide the most efficient road and bridge network possible with the resources provided. This is made possible by the support of taxpayers, the budgetary provisions from the County Council and Commissioners, and the service from our dedicated employees. The success of the road and bridge transportation network is a result of all of our partners in the community. Any issue that pertains to the duties of the Elkhart County Highway Department should be reported and will be addressed.
