Project Summary: During previous bridge inspection work, the existing beams of the bridge on CR 3 crossing Baugo creek were determined to be in poor shape. This project will replace the superstructure of the bridge which includes bridge beams, deck, and railing.

Project Summary: CR 35 over the Little Elkhart River is located north of Middlebury near the intersection of CR 8 and CR 35. The bridge was constructed in 1970 and its deteriorated condition warranted rehabilitation. The County received $796,756 in Federal funding for the rehabilitation of this bridge on June 19, 2014.

The project includes the replacement of the Kercher Bridge and reconstruction of County Road 38 from State Road 15 to County Road 17. There will be improved intersections at State Road 15, County Road 19 and County Road 21 including a signal at County Road 21/County Road 38 intersection. The project is a collaborative effort between the City of Goshen, Elkhart County, and the Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT).
